WELCOME ADDRESS BY THE CHAIRMAN

Distinguished Guests, Esteemed Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with great honour and profound joy that I, on behalf of the National Executives and members of the Association of Urological Surgeons, Nigeria (NAUS), warmly welcome you to Lagos, for the 30th Conference and Annual General Meeting of our Association; NAUS EKO 2025.

We have come together once again, to reaffirm our vision, celebrate our progress, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as professional colleagues and family, in the pursuit of excellence in the practice of Urology in Nigeria.

We are deeply honoured by the presence of our distinguished guests, industry partners, and colleagues who have joined us from near and far. Your presence here today not only adds colour and significance to this conference, but also reaffirms your unwavering support for our profession and specialty.

NAUS remains committed to fostering growth among its members through collaboration with other professional associations within and outside Nigeria, skill transfer, advancing knowledge via training and research, and creating professional opportunities for its members that impact their lives positively. This gathering provides a platform for in-depth scientific dialogue, training, professional engagement and collaboration, as we remain committed to ensuring provision of world-class Urologic training, practice and research in Nigeria.

I encourage everyone to engage fully in the sessions and deliberations that will follow, and to seize this opportunity to share ideas, forge partnerships, and strengthen our collective resolve towards achieving our common goals. Also, I encourage you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the busy city of Lagos as much as you can.

On this note, I once again welcome you all to this important event, and I look forward to a fruitful and memorable experience together in Lagos.
